Yesterday turned out to be a pretty enjoyable day. It was uncomfortably hot, but this factor was forgotten in a sea of conversation, music, and laughter. The Boston fireworks were good, though the recording of President Bush saying "Today there has been a terrorist attack" could have had a better effect if it was presented more clearly as a recording of a September 11th speech and not a live broadcast. Actually, it could have had a better effect if it had just been left out completely.
